CITAGLOBAL APPOINTS DATUK (DR.) YASMIN MAHMOOD AS ITS INDEPENDENT NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
KUALA LUMPUR, 30 June 2023 — Citaglobal Berhad has appointed Datuk (Dr.) Yasmin Mahmood as its Independent and Non-Executive Director with effect from July 1, 2023.
Datuk Yasmin’s illustrious career spanned three decades in the public and private sectors, including a three-year stint as Managing Director of Microsoft Malaysia. From 2014 to 2019, she was the CEO of Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) Sdn Bhd, the government agency tasked with spurring the growth of Malaysia’s digital economy. At MDEC, Datuk Yasmin spearheaded nation-building initiatives such as the Digital Free Trade Zone (DFTZ), while nurturing the local tech ecosystem and driving foreign direct investments into Malaysia.
From April 2019 to April 2021, Datuk Yasmin was the Chairman of Pos Malaysia Berhad. At Pos Malaysia, Datuk Yasmin steered the board and management towards embracing digital initiatives, while setting the stage for the group’s ongoing turnaround plan.
Datuk Yasmin is currently a board member of MIDF Berhad, UMW Holdings Berhad and Bintulu Ports Holdings Berhad.
