Haily Group Berhad Founder and Executive Director, Mr. See Tin Hai

Haily’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Haily Construction Sdn Bhd, had on 26 June 2023 received a Letter of Award from Tasek Maju for the construction of 170 units of double-storey cluster houses and related works.

The houses, each measuring 32' x 70', will be located in Phase 3, Taman Mutiara Maju, Mukim of Pulai, District of Johor Bahru in the state of Johor. The contract shall commence on 17 August 2023 and is scheduled to be completed in 15 months by 17 November 2024.

Haily Group Berhad Founder and Executive Director Mr. See Tin Hai said:

We are thrilled to work with Tasek Maju, a renowned real estate developer in Johor, on this project. This contract, among our major wins to date, demonstrates the confidence developers place in our ability to deliver exceptional service and maintain high standards of workmanship.

There are many reasons to be optimistic about the long-term outlook for property development and the construction industry in Johor. Johor will continue to be a beneficiary of key infrastructure projects, such as the Rapid Transit System (RTS) link, which is expected to be completed in 2026. And this year, prominent developers have announced new projects in Johor with gross development value (GDV) totaling more than one billion ringgit.

So far this year, we have secured total contracts worth RM204.48 million, which has exceeded what we secured for the entirety of 2022. As we continue growing our total contract value, we remain on track to achieve a stronger financial year in 2023. We will continue to work towards securing more high-value projects this year.”

Haily has been securing several significant contracts amidst the steady resurgence of the Malaysian economy post-COVID-19, solidifying its position as one of Johor’s leading contractors.

Major contracts bagged by the Group this year include, amongst others, a RM37.85 million contract from Austin Senibong Development Sdn Bhd to construct 77 units of three-storey shop offices within the Crest@Austin project; a RM78.28 million contract for the construction of 262 units of residential properties in Pontian, Johor from Gadang Holdings Berhad’s subsidiary, Mandy Corporation Sdn Bhd; and a RM32.66 million contract for the construction of 186 residential units in the Bandar Putra township from Nice Frontier Sdn Bhd, a member of IOI Properties Group Berhad.

The Group is principally a main contractor involved in constructing residential and non-residential buildings in the Southern Region of Peninsular Malaysia, particularly Johor. It also provides construction machinery for rental purposes.
